About the role
Our client is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Integration DevOps team in Wellington. The role focuses on managing and optimising cloud infrastructure while driving automation and modern CI/CD practices across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain Azure‑based solutions including API Management, Function Apps, Data Factory and Service Bus.
- Build, maintain and improve automated pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Develop scripts for system automation and tool integration.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise networking and cloud performance.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Azure DevOps engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
Required skills
- Azure API Management, Azure Function Apps, Azure Data Factory, Azure Service Bus.
- GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines.
- Scripting languages for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Understanding of Azure networking concepts.
- Experience with Azure RedHat OpenShift (ARO) or Kafka is a plus.
