Senior Developer – Lending Platforms (Hybrid, Wellington)

About the role

BNZ is looking for a Senior Developer to join its Technology team within the Lending Platforms domain. You will work on platforms and integration services that support lending application processing and decisioning for personal and business customers. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term, hybrid role based in Wellington.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features and enhance existing application capabilities using Java, Spring Boot and .Net.
• Participate in quality assurance through code reviews and peer collaboration.
• Provide production support by monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving issues in live environments.
• Mentor and support fellow developers and testers, sharing knowledge and guidance.
• Engage in agile ceremonies such as daily stand‑ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in software development and enterprise application support.
• Hands‑on capability with Java, Spring Boot and .Net.
• Experience working in complex, regulated environments.
