Senior Cyber Security Engineer – Privileged Access Management

About the role

Westpac is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join its Identity & Access Management team. You will focus on the Privileged Access Management (PAM) platform, helping to protect critical systems and data across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support the existing PAM software and hardware platform.
• Lead incident response, documentation and resolution of technical faults related to privileged access.
• Identify and remediate network vulnerabilities and emerging security threats.
• Research and implement enhancements to continuously improve the PAM solution.
• Collaborate with vendors to integrate new security controls.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior PAM engineer or architect in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to bridge architecture and engineering disciplines.
• Strong understanding of IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) concepts.
• Experience with automation and workflow tools for security operations.
• Familiarity with information‑security best practices such as NIST, CIS and ISO 27001.
