Senior Cyber Security Engineer – Privileged Access Management

About the role

Westpac is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer focused on Privileged Access Management (PAM). You will work closely with the Cyber Security Identity & Access Management team to assess, secure and enhance our privileged access platform while supporting a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform security assessments and identify network vulnerabilities related to privileged access.
• Maintain, support and configure the existing PAM software and hardware.
• Lead incident response, documentation and resolution of technical faults on the PAM platform.
• Drive continuous improvement of PAM security features and push platform enhancements.
• Conduct proactive research on security weaknesses and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with vendors to implement and integrate security solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior PAM Engineer or Architect in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to bridge architecture and engineering disciplines.
• In‑depth knowledge of IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) concepts.
• Experience with automation and interrogation tools and related workflows.
• Strong understanding of information security best practices such as NIST, CIS and ISO 27001.
