Senior Corporate Tax Consultant / Manager

About the role

Deloitte’s Tax team in Auckland is seeking a Senior Consultant or Manager to deliver high‑quality corporate tax solutions for a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from multinational corporations to privately owned businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Help clients mitigate risk, meet compliance obligations and achieve business objectives.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and understand their businesses.
• Advise on a wide range of corporate tax matters, including legislation analysis and transaction structuring.
• Prepare and review corporate tax returns.
• Assist clients in resolving tax disputes.
• Interpret, analyse and research technical tax issues, leveraging Deloitte’s AI platform.
• Contribute to corporate and international tax policy discussions.
• Coach and develop junior team members.
• Improve work efficiency and client service through technology tools.
• Collaborate with the team and maintain a positive work environment.

Required profile

• 3+ years of New Zealand corporate tax and compliance experience.
• Preferably recent experience in a Big 4 or mid‑tier firm.
• Strong technical tax knowledge.
• Proven ability to build strong client and colleague relationships.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Energetic, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Commitment to integrity, respect and appreciation of diversity.
• Desire to grow a career in tax.
