Senior Corporate Affairs Consultant – SAM Level

About the role

We are partnering with a leading New Zealand corporate affairs consultancy to find a Senior Corporate Affairs Consultant at SAM level. The successful candidate will work on high‑profile projects, reputation challenges and stakeholder engagement programmes for some of the country’s most influential organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with a portfolio of corporate clients.
• Provide practical, trusted advice on communications and corporate affairs matters.
• Write high‑quality content such as media releases, executive communications, stakeholder briefings and strategic materials.
• Support media engagement and stakeholder relations activities.
• Lead projects from inception to delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Identify opportunities to expand client engagements and contribute to business growth.

Required profile

• Approximately 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, corporate affairs, PR or strategic communications.
• Proven ability to work directly with senior stakeholders and clients.
• Strong commercial instincts and confidence to drive work independently.
• Ability to navigate complex issues, think critically and exercise sound judgement.
• Proactive mindset with genuine curiosity about business, politics, media and current affairs.
