Senior Construction Manager – Major Infrastructure Projects

About the role

HEB Construction, part of VINCI Construction, is seeking experienced Construction Managers to lead the delivery of large‑scale civil infrastructure projects across New Zealand. The role is based in Auckland and focuses on major roading, bridge, water, wastewater and marine works.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership on all aspects of construction delivery for high‑value projects.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary construction teams, fostering a Zero Harm culture.
• Proactively manage risks, programme schedules and constructability issues.
• Build strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering civil construction and earthworks projects exceeding $100 million.
• Strong background in tendering, early contractor involvement (ECI) and pre‑construction planning.
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams on complex infrastructure programmes.
• Commercially astute with a track record of meeting safety, programme, quality and financial targets.
