Senior Construction Manager – Large Infrastructure Projects

About the role

HEB Construction, part of VINCI Construction, is seeking senior Construction Managers to lead the delivery of major civil infrastructure projects across New Zealand, primarily based in Auckland. The role involves overseeing large‑scale earthworks, road, bridge, water and wastewater works, ensuring safety, quality and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership on all aspects of construction delivery for projects exceeding $100 million.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to high standards.
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary construction teams, fostering a Zero Harm culture.
• Proactively manage project risks, programme schedules and constructability.
• Build strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering major earthworks and civil construction projects over $100 million.
• Strong background in tendering, early contractor involvement (ECI), pre‑construction planning and temporary works management.
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams on complex infrastructure programmes.
• Commercially astute with a track record of meeting safety, programme, quality and financial targets.
