Senior Communications Manager

About the role

Vector is looking for a Senior Communications Manager to lead internal communications across the organisation. You will translate complex strategic priorities into clear, engaging messages that build understanding, alignment and enthusiasm among employees.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver internal communication campaigns that support Vector’s strategic direction and change initiatives.
• Partner with senior leaders and business teams to shape messaging and ensure consistency across the organisation.
• Manage the on‑call media roster, respond to media enquiries and support crisis communications when required.
• Own and evolve a major internal communications platform, leveraging digital channels such as the intranet.
• Measure and report on employee engagement and communication effectiveness.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification and at least 6 years of corporate communications experience, preferably in large, complex organisations.
• Strong internal communications background, especially in supporting strategy, change and employee engagement.
• Strategic thinker who can simplify complex information into plain‑language content.
• Proven ability to build relationships across all levels and influence without formal authority.
• Experience in media relations, issue and crisis communications, and willingness to participate in a rotating on‑call roster.
