Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager to join our Auckland-based client on a hybrid basis. The role is split roughly 60 % business analysis and 40 % project management, supporting technology-focused delivery without requiring deep technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, process analysis and documentation.
• Facilitate workshops with business and delivery stakeholders.
• Define user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules and workflows.
• Collaborate with a Senior Technical BA to ensure technical understanding of requirements.
• Step into project-management duties across active workstreams, including planning, reporting, RAID management, testing, go-live and handover.
• Manage stakeholder communication, priorities, risks and dependencies.
• Mentor and support a junior Business Analyst.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience.
• Proven experience supporting or leading project delivery.
• Strong process-mapping, documentation and facilitation skills.
• Confidence working with business, technical and vendor stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Pragmatic, organised and documentation-led approach.
