Senior Brand Manager

About the role

Mercury is seeking an experienced Senior Brand Manager to own and evolve its brand strategy. You will be the growth engine behind how Mercury is perceived, remembered, and chosen by New Zealanders, working at the heart of the Marketing team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Mercury’s annual brand plan, setting objectives, audience priorities and investment approach to build brand equity and drive customer acquisition.
• Design and execute end‑to‑end integrated brand campaigns across paid, owned, earned and social channels.
• Gather and analyse brand insights from health tracking, customer research, social listening and competitive analysis to continuously refine strategy.
• Act as the brand guardian, ensuring consistent tone of voice, visual identity and standards across all touchpoints.
• Translate commercial priorities into clear brand opportunities and align brand activity with business goals.
• Lead and develop a small, talented team to deliver distinctive, purposeful brand work.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience leading brand transformations and building brands that drive acquisition.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to turn business needs into compelling brand opportunities.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of guiding cross‑functional teams.
