About the role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help shape a digital wealth-management platform for a fast-growing Kiwi SaaS company. This is a 3-6 month hourly-rate contract focused on building scalable, secure backend systems.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services that power web and mobile experiences.
- Create and maintain APIs for investment and savings products.
- Architect secure, cloud-native infrastructure using serverless patterns.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges and guide long-term system architecture.
Required profile
- Strong senior-level experience in backend development.
- Growth mindset with a passion for delivering engineering impact.
Required skills
- C# and .NET
- AWS cloud services
- Serverless application patterns
- Infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Functional programming (F# or Scala)
