Senior Audit Manager

About the role

ANZ is seeking a Senior Audit Manager to join its Internal Audit team in Auckland. The role supports the integrity of New Zealand’s financial system by delivering strategic, risk‑focused assurance to the Board Audit Committee, leveraging advanced digital tools and data analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑performing audit teams to evaluate internal controls and technology risk across cyber security, cloud infrastructure and major transformation programmes.
• Provide assurance and insights directly to senior leaders and the Board Audit Committee.
• Use data analytics and emerging GenAI tools to enhance audit quality and efficiency.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate findings clearly and concisely.
• Collaborate with internal audit teams across Australia, India, Europe and the Pacific region.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in a technology‑focused assurance role, preferably within a professional services firm or comparable industry.
• Strong understanding of the financial services sector, especially technology and program management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Tertiary qualification in finance, law, computing, data science or a related discipline.
