Senior Associate – Healthcare Architecture

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Associate to lead the design of complex healthcare facilities across New Zealand. You will work within a growing Health Architecture studio, collaborating with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to create environments that improve patient outcomes, staff wellbeing and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide design and technical leadership on major healthcare projects from concept through delivery.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, guiding projects from early planning to final hand‑over.
• Mentor emerging talent and contribute to the growth of the health portfolio.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with healthcare planning and design standards.

Required profile

• Registered Architect status or equivalent professional qualification.
• Significant experience delivering complex, highly regulated projects, preferably in healthcare.
• Deep understanding of healthcare planning, design principles and project delivery processes.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and engage diverse stakeholders.
• Strong commercial awareness and a passion for creating high‑quality, community‑focused environments.
