About the role
We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join Deloitte’s Auckland Transactions team. In this role you will support complex client transactions, applying analytical expertise to deliver strategic recommendations and insights. You will work collaboratively with partners, clients and team members while also handling independent tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Support and deliver multi‑faceted transaction projects across sectors such as healthcare, consumer business, technology, financial services and manufacturing.
- Conduct in‑depth financial analysis and modelling to generate commercial insights.
- Assist senior team members by preparing analyses, drafting reports, attending client calls and meetings, and ensuring timely, on‑budget delivery.
- Mentor junior team members, reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with team members, clients and other stakeholders.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 + years’ experience in a professional services firm, investment bank or similar environment, with exposure to Transactions, Corporate Finance or External Audit.
- Working towards a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
- Commercial problem‑solver with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Interest in leveraging Artificial Intelligence tools.
- Project management capability to ensure delivery within set timelines.
