About the role

As a Senior Accountant at Tearfund, you will join a purpose‑driven team dedicated to supporting the world’s most vulnerable communities. Based in Mount Roskill, Auckland, the role offers a hybrid work model, allowing you to collaborate on‑site while also benefiting from flexible remote days.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive finance services, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of all financial transactions.
• Strengthen core finance processes, including month‑end close, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making across the organisation.
• Partner with managers to steward resources responsibly and align spending with Tearfund’s mission.
• Maintain compliance with statutory requirements and internal control standards.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA) with several years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a commitment to ethical stewardship of resources.
