Senior Accountant

About the role

AA Insurance is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Finance team in Auckland CBD. You will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic financial support to the business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis activities.
• Assist with audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
• Provide financial insights to senior management for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong understanding of New Zealand accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
