Senior Accountant

About the role

We are a leading FMCG company in Bhairahawa seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to oversee our finance and accounts functions. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with Nepalese tax and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting and financial operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, VAT, TDS, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor inventory valuation and cost accounting.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Reconcile bank accounts, vendors, customers, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare MIS and financial reports for management review.
• Supervise and guide the accounts team.
• Ensure adherence to company financial policies and internal control systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s/CA/ACCA preferred).
• 7–10 years of accounting experience, preferably in Food/FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Nepal Accounting Standards, taxation, VAT, TDS, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
