Senior Accountant – Boutique CA Firm (Part‑time, Auckland)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a boutique chartered accountant firm in Auckland CBD. The role is part‑time and on‑site, offering genuine flexibility while maintaining high‑quality financial services for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts and tax returns.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide advisory support to clients on budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Mentor junior staff and oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CA, CPA or equivalent) with several years of post‑qualification experience.
• Proven ability to work autonomously from start to finish of assignments.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, family‑like team attitude.
