Senior Accountant – BAS & Advisory (Auckland)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant (BAS) to join our Auckland team. You will work closely with clients as a trusted advisor, delivering high‑quality accounting, budgeting and advisory services while developing your own career.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in delivering vCFO services including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
• Prepare complex financial statements, including large consolidations and compilations
• Produce monthly reports, forecasts and tax‑related documentation
• Participate in advisory projects, providing insights and support aligned with client needs
• Build strong client relationships and become a key point of contact
• Contribute to advisory and commercial projects
• Mentor junior team members and foster a positive team culture

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a CA environment
• Progressing toward or holding a CA or CPA qualification
• Working rights in New Zealand
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
• Commercially minded, detail‑oriented and highly organised

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills (modelling, analysis and reporting)
• Proficiency in Xero (experience with MYOB and other systems is a bonus)
