About the role
SENse Learning is seeking passionate mentors to provide one‑to‑one support for young people with complex additional needs. Working primarily in students' homes and community settings, you will deliver personalised, interest‑based learning sessions that go beyond academics to build confidence and life skills.
Key responsibilities
- Provide tailored one‑to‑one mentoring and learning support for children with SEND.
- Design and deliver holistic sessions that address academic, emotional regulation and life‑skill development.
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families and schools.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate progress to parents or carers.
- Collaborate with the SENse Learning team to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience working with children or young people with complex needs (e.g., ASC, ADHD, SEMH, trauma, PDA, mental health).
- Background as a Support Worker, LSA, TA, Youth Worker, PA or similar.
- Child‑centred, holistic approach with creativity in curriculum adaptation.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and two professional references.
- UK right to work and knowledge of safeguarding practices.
