Security Operations Analyst

About the role

Foodstuffs is seeking a proactive Security Operations Analyst to join its Security team. You will work alongside experienced security professionals to protect critical systems, develop expertise in threat intelligence, vulnerability management, incident response, and cloud security, and make a tangible impact on the organisation’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the security environment through daily checks, threat‑intelligence gathering and vulnerability analysis.
• Research emerging threats and collaborate with technology teams to assess organisational impact.
• Support incident‑response activities, contribute to investigations and improve incident‑management processes.
• Assist in developing and maintaining security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
• Identify and remediate gaps in security monitoring, alerting and audit capabilities.
• Help deliver secure technology services operating in a 24x7 environment.
• Work closely with the Security, Risk and Digital Operations Manager on security initiatives.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, systems or software development with a keen interest in information security.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST and PCI DSS.
• Understanding of cloud technologies and a desire to grow cloud‑security skills.
• Experience in IT support, infrastructure or systems administration.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
