About the role

One School Global is seeking an inspiring secondary teacher for Year 7‑8 students at its Kerikeri campus. The role starts in Term 3 2026 (or as soon as possible) and is a permanent, full‑time position focused on guiding students through the transition to secondary learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons for Year 7‑8 learners.
• Foster student ownership, self‑discipline, and collaborative learning.
• Implement the Learn to Learn framework to develop effective learning strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent teaching practices across the campus.
• Encourage inquiry, creativity, and real‑world problem‑solving.
• Engage actively with parents and the wider community.

Required profile

• Registered New Zealand teacher with current certification.
• Valid eligibility to work in New Zealand.
• Experience teaching Year 7‑8 (or equivalent) in New Zealand.
• Passion for innovative, active‑learning methods.
• Strong commitment to a growth‑mindset and performance culture.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
