Seasonal Laboratory Technician – Newstead

About the role
We are looking for seasonal production laboratory technicians to join our Artificial Breeding team in Newstead. The role runs from August to December and focuses on preparing and testing semen samples to support dairy herd improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, process and analyse semen samples in a laboratory environment.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all laboratory activities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Adapt to changing work schedules during the peak season (October/November).
- Follow health, safety and quality procedures at all times.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualification in science or related field (preferred but not essential).
- Previous laboratory experience is advantageous.
- Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
- Willingness to learn, flexible and able to work a 5‑on‑2‑off roster.
