School Bus Driver Opportunities

About the role

We are looking for casual school bus drivers to join our team in Darfield. Shifts run Monday to Friday, typically about three hours per day, with additional charter work available for suitable candidates. This role supports local schools and the community by providing safe, reliable transport for students.

Key responsibilities

• Operate school buses on assigned routes, adhering to schedules and safety standards.
• Conduct pre‑trip inspections and ensure the vehicle is clean and road‑worthy.
• Maintain a safe driving environment and manage any on‑board incidents.
• Assist with charter assignments when required.

Required profile

• Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Safe, confident driver with a clean driving record.
• Full car licence held for at least two years.
• Preferably a Class 2 and/or 4 driver’s licence and a P endorsement.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand and ability to pass drug/alcohol testing and a police background check.
