SAP S/4HANA ABAP & BTP ABAP Developer (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking experienced SAP ABAP professionals for two contract positions supporting a large‑scale SAP S/4HANA transformation in New Zealand. One role focuses on ABAP on HANA development within S/4HANA, the other on cloud‑native ABAP development on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Both positions require delivery of clean‑core, scalable solutions and occasional travel to Auckland.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and support SAP solutions using ABAP on HANA, RAP and CDS technologies.
• Build and consume OData services for SAP Fiori and integration scenarios.
• Create and maintain BRF+ rules, validations and decision tables.
• Develop low‑code/no‑code extensibility solutions on SAP BTP, including Communication Arrangements, REST APIs and Event Mesh.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot production issues and optimise performance.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, solution architects and cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional SAP ABAP development experience.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on SAP S/4HANA development.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Clean Core principles and extensibility frameworks.
• Experience delivering ABAP solutions on SAP BTP (for the BTP role).
