SAP Fiori / UI5 Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Fiori / UI5 Developer to join a large‑scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programme in New Zealand. The role is contract‑based and will involve designing, building and supporting modern, responsive SAP Fiori applications using UI5 and SAP BTP technologies, with occasional travel to Auckland.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and support SAP Fiori and UI5 applications.
• Create responsive applications with SAP UI5, Fiori Elements and follow SAP best practices.
• Configure and manage the SAP Fiori Launchpad, including catalogues, groups, roles and authorisations.
• Extend standard SAP Fiori apps using SAP‑recommended extensibility techniques.
• Develop user interfaces with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery.
• Integrate and consume OData services within Fiori applications.
• Build solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and apply MVC architecture, data binding, error handling and performance optimisation.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and solution architects to deliver scalable SAP solutions.
• Prepare technical design documentation and support testing, deployment and production activities.

Required profile

• 8 + years of hands‑on SAP Fiori/UI5 development experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA projects.
• Strong knowledge of SAP UI5, Fiori Elements and SAP BTP.
• Proven experience configuring SAP Fiori Launchpad, catalogues, groups and authorisations.
• Solid development background in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery.
• Experience integrating OData services and extending standard Fiori applications.
