SAP Data Migration SME (S/4HANA) – Technology Consulting

About the role

EY is looking for an experienced SAP Data Migration Subject Matter Expert to lead end‑to‑end migration initiatives for SAP S/4HANA transformation programs. The role blends deep SAP migration expertise with emerging AI‑driven automation to improve data quality, accelerate delivery, and reduce risk.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle SAP data migration from ECC to S/4HANA, including planning, execution, testing and cut‑over.
• Define migration strategy, scope, data sources, tools and timelines.
• Drive data readiness activities such as profiling, cleansing, transformation and validation.
• Facilitate data‑mapping workshops and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Manage migration cycles (build, unit test, SIT/UAT, dress rehearsal, cut‑over).
• Partner with business data owners to ensure data quality, governance and sign‑off.
• Apply AI/automation tools for data profiling, anomaly detection, automated mapping and code remediation.
• Design migration approaches (greenfield, brownfield, selective data transition) across SAP FI/CO, MM, SD and other modules.
• Act as SME advisor to clients and senior stakeholders on migration strategy and risk.

Required profile

• Extensive SAP experience with a strong focus on data migration.
• Proven delivery of full‑lifecycle SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Strong understanding of data governance, quality controls and auditability.
