Sales Controller

About the role

As a Sales Controller at Big Motoring World you will support management and lead the sales team in Warrington, ensuring high professionalism and customer service while meeting targets. The role combines hands‑on sales leadership with profitability optimisation in a fast‑moving automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Report to management and oversee daily sales operations.
• Act as a customer‑facing sales leader to maximise sales and satisfaction.
• Support used‑car yard operations and stock presentation.
• Lead, motivate and support the sales team while remaining hands‑on.
• Implement and drive effective sales plans and targets.
• Advise customers on finance and insurance products and manage agreements.
• Ensure a consistent, high‑quality sales experience for every customer.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
• Lead by example, communicate professionally, and adhere to company policies and codes of conduct.

Required profile

• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence (subject to DVLA check).
• Effective team leader or management skills.
• Ability to guide customers through every stage of the sale.
• Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
• Well‑presented, confident and resilient.
• Determination and ability to cope with rejection.
• Self‑motivation and drive.
• Team player with effective time management.
• Flexibility to work varied patterns, including weekends.
• Sales experience within the automotive industry (desirable).
