Sailing Club Coach

About the role

Napier Sailing Club is looking for experienced sailing professionals to lead its 2026/2027 Summer Coaching Session. The position is a fixed‑term, on‑site role focused on delivering high‑quality sailing instruction to club members during the summer months.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct sailing lessons for various skill levels.
• Ensure the safety of participants by enforcing club safety protocols.
• Maintain and prepare sailing equipment and boats for each session.
• Provide feedback and progress reports to participants and club management.
• Assist with organising club events and regattas related to the coaching program.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sailing, preferably with a background in coaching or instruction.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and maritime regulations.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of learners.
• Commitment to the full summer coaching period (2026/2027).
