Room Attendant – Luxury Hotel

About the role

Join Sofitel Queenstown as a Room Attendant, delivering heartfelt care and pristine rooms in a 5‑star luxury environment. You will work hands‑on, receiving training to meet the high standards expected by our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms, storage areas and corridors to upscale standards.
• Replenish guest supplies and advertising material in bedrooms and bathrooms.
• Report lost property and handle guest laundry according to hotel policy.
• Use and maintain cleaning equipment, reporting any defects.
• Perform regular stock‑taking of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Secure keys and rooms, following security procedures and reporting any suspicious activity.
• Apply health‑and‑safety regulations for cleaning agents and equipment.
• Assist guests with information or service requests and refer complex issues to a supervisor.
• Provide turn‑down service, clean balconies, railings, carpets, and descale shower heads.
• Support colleagues with extra beds, bed boards, and other tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience in a 5‑star or luxury hotel housekeeping role.
• Friendly, detail‑oriented and able to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
• Strong emotional intelligence and a polished, professional presence.
