Roading Operations Manager – Relocate to NSW, Australia

About the role

Walgett Shire Council is seeking a Roading Operations Manager to lead a $12 million+ roading programme in New South Wales. The successful candidate will relocate from New Zealand to NSW and take responsibility for delivering high‑quality road infrastructure on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the delivery of a multi‑million‑dollar roading programme.
• Manage project budgets, schedules and resources to meet performance targets.
• Oversee on‑site operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders to resolve issues and drive progress.
• Report on project status, risks and outcomes to senior council members.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale roading or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in an on‑site environment.
• Willingness to relocate to New South Wales and adapt to a new community.
