Risk & Controls Analyst

About the role

Centrapay is building a trusted payments platform for businesses and consumers in New Zealand and Australia. The Risk & Controls Analyst will work hands‑on to design, test and improve controls, investigate anomalies and shape risk management across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of Centrapay’s control framework.
• Design, test and remediate controls to close risk gaps.
• Lead periodic control testing cycles and maintain evidence for compliance.
• Prepare risk, controls and compliance reports, and investigate data anomalies.
• Drive automation of assurance and measurement activities.
• Assist with audits, accreditations and regulatory reporting.
• Conduct security risk assessments for systems and third‑party vendors.
• Facilitate risk workshops and keep risk records up to date.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in risk management, information security or technology risk.
• Background in financial services or a regulated fintech environment.
• Ability to work with both technical and non‑technical teams and translate concepts clearly.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for patterns.
