Retail Sales Assistant – Footwear

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Retail Sales Assistant to join our Skechers store in Riccarton. You will support the management team in driving sales and operational excellence while delivering an unforgettable shopping experience for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with product selection, providing expert advice on footwear and streetwear trends.
• Support the management team in achieving sales targets and maintaining store standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
• Handle transactions and operate point‑of‑sale systems efficiently.
• Provide feedback and contribute ideas to improve store performance.
• Work flexible hours, including late‑night trade, weekends and Monday‑Wednesday day shifts.

• Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Passion for sneaker culture and streetwear fashion.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, energetic team environment.
• Self‑motivated with a focus on meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Willingness to listen to and act on constructive feedback.
• Full availability for evenings, weekends and selected daytime shifts.
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality or supermarket customer service.
