Restaurant Manager – Queenstown

About the role

Minor Hotels’ Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort is seeking an enthusiastic, service‑driven Restaurant Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of its restaurant and bar. The role is full‑time, primarily evening shifts, with weekend availability, and focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences while developing the Food & Beverage team.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and control restaurant operations to provide high‑quality dining services.
• Oversee smooth, efficient, and professional daily operations of the restaurant and bar.
• Promote the property’s food and beverage offerings to guests.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team during service to ensure quality, presentation and guest satisfaction.
• Supervise, coach and train Food & Beverage Attendants, fostering a high‑performing team.
• Manage staff rostering, workflow and service standards for operational efficiency.
• Monitor compliance with hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and reporting as required.
• Drive guest satisfaction, service excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic and service‑driven attitude.
• Availability for evening shifts and weekends.
• Minimum 30 hours per week on a rotating roster.
• Managers Certificate and Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) preferred but not essential.

• Hourly rate of $33‑$35 NZD (approximately $51,480‑$54,600 annually).
