Reproductive Biology Scientist

About the role

Engender Technologies is seeking a Reproductive Biology Scientist to join its fast‑growing research team in Auckland. You will design and execute experiments that underpin our laser‑based sperm‑sorting platform, contributing directly to the improvement of global dairy and livestock breeding outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, run, and progressively take ownership of experiments within the reproductive biology programme.
• Process and analyse biological samples and data to a high, SOP‑driven standard.
• Maintain thorough QMS‑compliant laboratory documentation and help shape protocols and SOPs.
• Support and mentor Biology Technicians in the lab.
• Participate in team science activities such as journal clubs, cross‑functional problem solving, and internal reporting.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in biological sciences, reproductive biology, biochemistry or a closely related field.
• 2‑4 years of hands‑on experience in a research laboratory.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
• Collaborative, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves attitude suited to a small, fast‑moving team.
