Remote Social Media Manager – Junior Contract

About the role

This is a remote, junior‑level position focused on growing and nurturing the Instagram and TikTok communities for a premium dog brand based in Manhattan. You will create a welcoming digital "clubhouse" that encourages dog owners to feel proud and engaged with the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Create and edit 15 high‑quality video posts each month that reflect the brand’s upscale yet approachable aesthetic.
• Publish three engaging Instagram and TikTok stories daily to keep the community active.
• Organise weekly content packages for review and incorporate feedback promptly.
• Manage community interactions by responding to comments and direct messages to boost loyalty and retention.
• Use provided brand assets to maintain visual consistency across all posts.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing social media for local businesses or luxury brands, with a focus on community building.
• Strong video‑editing ability and a keen eye for visual storytelling.
• Deep knowledge of Instagram and TikTok best practices, scheduling, engagement tactics, and analytics.
• Excellent written communication and the ability to convey a warm, inclusive brand voice.
• Self‑motivated, deadline‑driven, and open to feedback.
• Familiarity with New York City culture and the local pet community is a plus.
• Portfolio or examples of community‑focused social media work.
