About the role

Join Summerset’s Waikanae village as a Registered Nurse, delivering high‑quality aged‑care services in a resident‑directed environment. You will support long‑term residents to enjoy a safe, comfortable, and fulfilling lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage residents’ everyday clinical needs, from routine care to end‑of‑life support.
• Create, implement, and review long‑term care plans and clinical assessments.
• Take charge of the care centre on designated shifts, making appropriate clinical decisions.
• Deliver planned nursing care, evaluate progress with residents and families, and adjust care as needed.
• Provide guidance and direction to caregivers on each shift.
• Build trusted relationships with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team.

Required profile

• A current NZ nursing registration and practising certificate.
• Genuine interest in working with older adults in a retirement‑village setting.
• Proven ability to lead, stay calm under pressure, and demonstrate emotional resilience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
