Registered Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our modern 69‑bed Care Home and Hospital in sunny Nelson. This is a permanent full‑time position (32 hours per week) covering AM, PM, night and weekend shifts, providing high‑quality care to our residents.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of dedicated caregivers to ensure high‑level quality care.
• Develop, monitor and update individual care plans.
• Carry out clinical assessments for residents.
• Build lasting relationships with residents, families and general practitioners.
• Support clinical services and care home managers in daily operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse, either in New Zealand or abroad.
• Current APC registration.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Genuine passion for helping people with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Team spirit, empathy and a drive to make a difference.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and health‑and‑safety procedures.
