Registered Nurse – Health & Wellbeing Lead

About the role

Fulton Hogan is seeking a senior Registered Nurse to lead health and wellbeing initiatives for its large‑scale Ōtaki‑to‑North Levin highway project. This hands‑on role places you on the construction site, where you will build trust with workers and their families, and deliver practical health solutions that support a safe, resilient workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement integrated health and wellbeing programmes using frameworks such as Te Whare Tapa Whā and Whānau Ora.
• Develop trusted relationships with workers, whānau, site leaders, community services and project partners from day one.
• Provide expert health advice, navigation and practical support to remove barriers and improve outcomes.
• Influence site leadership to raise health literacy, enhance wellbeing and foster a healthier site culture.
• Advocate for staff while ensuring compliance, ethics and safety in a high‑stakes environment.
• Maintain accurate records, protect privacy and uphold confidentiality for individuals and the project.
• Collect, analyse and report health data to drive better outcomes across the project and the wider construction industry.
• Collaborate with the South Alliance Registered Nurse and JV Alliance leadership to deliver lasting change.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid Annual Practising Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably with exposure to workplace or occupational health.
