Registered Nurse – Full-time Aged Care

About the role

Join Oceania as a full‑time Registered Nurse at The Sands, delivering comprehensive, nurse‑led care to residents in a retirement and aged‑care setting. You will work autonomously while collaborating with allied health professionals to ensure high‑quality, person‑centred services.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily care needs of residents, inspiring and supporting the care team.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions independently and collaboratively.
• Make critical decisions regarding resident care, demonstrating professional autonomy.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, and community health partners.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to care staff and team members.

Required profile

• Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
• Commitment to delivering excellent service.
• Previous experience using clinical systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective time‑management abilities.
• Capability to coach and mentor other staff.
• Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis, including weekends and nights.

Required skills

• InterRai (clinical system) – desirable.
