Registered Nurse (Fixed-term) – Aged Care

About the role

Join Summerset’s Ellerslie village as a Registered Nurse on a fixed‑term contract, delivering high‑quality aged‑care services to long‑term residents. You will work within a resident‑directed model, focusing on enhancing quality of life through compassionate clinical care.

Key responsibilities

• Manage residents’ everyday clinical needs, including end‑of‑life care.
• Create and follow long‑term care plans and conduct clinical assessments.
• Take charge of the care centre on designated shifts, making appropriate clinical decisions.
• Deliver planned nursing care, evaluate progress with residents and families, and adjust plans as needed.
• Provide guidance and direction to caregivers on shift.
• Build trusted relationships with residents and their families.

Required profile

• Current NZ nursing registration and practising certificate.
• Genuine interest in working with older people in a retirement‑village setting.
• Ability to lead, stay calm under pressure and demonstrate emotional resilience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
