About the role

Join Braemar Hospital’s Day Ward team delivering high‑quality care for day‑surgery, endoscopy and haematology patients. This part‑time permanent role offers a fast‑paced environment where clinical excellence and patient‑centred care are paramount.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pre‑ and post‑operative nursing care for a variety of day‑case surgical procedures.
• Deliver pre‑ and post‑endoscopy care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Administer haematology treatments and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with the Charge Nurse and multidisciplinary team to maintain high standards of care.
• Adapt to work across other Day Ward areas as required.

Required profile

• At least 3 years experience in surgical or haematology nursing.
• Current New Zealand Nursing Registration (APC).
• Clear, professional communication and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong time‑management, problem‑solving and organisational skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a patient‑centred approach.
