Registered Nurse – Aged Care

About the role

Join Summerset’s Whangarei village as a Registered Nurse and help deliver high‑quality aged‑care services. You will work closely with residents, families and the care team to enhance daily living and support long‑term wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Manage residents’ everyday clinical needs, including end‑of‑life care.
• Create and follow long‑term care plans and conduct clinical assessments.
• Lead the care centre on assigned shifts, making appropriate clinical decisions.
• Deliver planned nursing care, evaluate progress with residents and families, and adjust plans as needed.
• Provide guidance and direction to caregivers on shift.
• Build trusted relationships with residents and their families.

Required profile

• Current NZ Registered Nurse registration and practising certificate.
• Genuine interest in working with older people in a retirement‑village setting.
• Ability to lead, stay calm under pressure and demonstrate emotional resilience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
