Registered Nurse – Aged Care (Christchurch)

About the role

Oceania is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to join its nurse‑led teams across Christchurch. You will deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care to residents in a supportive environment where you can practice to the full scope of your registration.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily clinical care needs of residents.
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and implement care plans.
• Make sound clinical decisions and respond to changing resident needs.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, families/whānau, and allied health professionals.
• Lead, coach and support Healthcare Assistants and the wider care team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and caring environment.

Required profile

• Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APC) and registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
• Previous nursing experience, preferably in aged care or a similar clinical setting.
• Strong communication, leadership and collaborative abilities.
• Flexibility to work a variety of rostered shifts, including weekends and nights.
• Desirable: experience with InterRAI assessments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic clinical documentation systems.
• Familiarity with InterRAI assessment tools (desirable).
