Regional Manager – South Island Retail

About the role

The Regional Manager for the South Island will lead performance, capability and engagement across Kiwibank’s geographically dispersed retail branch network. You will translate the Retail Distribution strategy into everyday actions, ensuring consistent customer experiences and high‑performing teams throughout the region.

Key responsibilities

• Drive commercial performance while balancing risk, cost and long‑term customer value.
• Implement and champion modern ways of working, including the One Flexi‑team model.
• Use regional data and insights to inform decisions and continuous improvement.
• Develop and coach branch leaders to create a high‑performing, inclusive culture.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the bank and influence outcomes at all levels.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in a large, complex retail, sales or service environment with oversight of multiple locations.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into clear, practical regional execution.
• Confidence leading through change while preserving engagement and stability.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and influencing skills.
• Experience operating in regulated environments with solid risk and compliance awareness.
