Regional Business Development Manager – Bay of Plenty & Waikato

About the role

We are looking for a high‑performing Regional Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions for Nitrogenx, a medical solutions provider. The role focuses on acquiring new customers for medical waste collection and nitrogen gas supply while also supporting key account management.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and secure new commercial customers through cold calling, networking and site visits.
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline to meet monthly and annual revenue targets.
• Conduct needs assessments and deliver compliant medical waste and nitrogen gas solutions.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, service agreements and prepare commercial tender submissions.
• Drive growth and renewals through regular key‑account performance reviews.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient customer onboarding and service delivery.
• Maintain CRM records to track forecasting, competitors and market trends.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years senior experience in business development or consultative sales within a service industry.
• Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent qualification.
• Proven track record of revenue generation, contract negotiation and profit growth.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships at all organisational levels.
• Self‑motivated, resilient with excellent time‑management and adaptability.
• Professional attitude, integrity and a solution‑focused approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Google apps).
