Receptionist (Part-time)

About the role

As the first point of contact for guests at Novotel Wellington, you will create memorable experiences from arrival to departure. This part‑time position works on a rotating 7‑day roster, covering mornings and afternoons, including weekends and public holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests from around the world and build relationships with new and returning visitors.
• Handle check‑in and check‑out procedures accurately and professionally, including guest information and payments.
• Provide local knowledge, promote hotel facilities and actively up‑sell to maximise occupancy and revenue.
• Safely manage guest property, ensuring correct documentation and storage.
• Promote Accor loyalty programmes to enhance guest satisfaction and brand loyalty.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Reservations and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Dedicated and personable with a genuine passion for people and exceptional service.
• Available for flexible shifts – mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• NZ residency or a permanent NZ work visa (no sponsorship available).
• Exceptional written, verbal and non‑verbal communication skills.
• Organised, high attention to detail and able to take initiative.
• Previous hotel receptionist experience preferred but not essential.
