Reception Team Leader

About the role

Allevia Radiology is seeking a Reception Team Leader to manage, support and develop a high‑performing team of medical receptionists across three Auckland sites. Reporting to the Reception Manager, you will ensure first‑class customer service and patient care in a fast‑paced diagnostic imaging environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop a team of medical receptionists across three Auckland sites.
• Participate in recruitment, selection and training of new reception staff.
• Motivate and empower the team through performance appraisals and coaching.
• Manage staff rosters, submit timesheets and oversee invoicing and payment processing.
• Handle other administrative duties related to patient intake and front‑desk operations.

Required profile

• Proven record of effective team leadership, preferably across multiple sites.
• Previous experience in a medical reception environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, patients and referrers.
• High level of professionalism, personal presentation and accountability.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly between the Rosedale, Westgate and St Lukes branches.

Required skills

• Strong IT proficiency and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Experience using the COMRAD reception software (preferred).
