Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre Construction

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will manage end‑to‑end contractual administration for subcontractors and major suppliers on complex data‑centre builds. Working closely with CDC's Development and Operations teams, you will support projects from initial design through to operational hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of construction contracts, including cost control, procurement of subcontractors and negotiation of terms.
• Identify financial risks, track milestones, payments and produce regular reporting.
• Collate, quality‑assure and analyse contractor pricing, verifying rates and quantity measures.
• Liaise daily with managers and stakeholders to align contract administration with project objectives.
• Oversee contract financial administration, process variations, prepare project reports and maintain contractual documentation and registers.
• Prepare head‑contract progress claims and support review of contractual correspondence.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quantity surveying or construction contract administration.
• Strong analytical ability to identify financial risks and ensure contract compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage documentation and budgets.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder liaison across multiple project phases.
